Tiger Woods appeared for the first time on camera at the PGA headquarters in Sawgrass to speak about his alleged marital indiscretions. An emotional Wood’s spoke of his deep regret at his deep regret at his actions. He repeatedly expressed sorrow and apologised to his wife, his children, his mother, his fans and his business business partners. Admitting to ‘unfaithful’ actions for the first time, 34-year-old Woods made clear that any discussion of the details of his private life were issues between a ‘husband and a wife’. Looking across the room which was filled with members of the press, his close friends and his mother Tiger declared that ‘Everyone of you has good reason to be critical of me.” The 14 time major winner told the room that “I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible actions.” Moving on the teary golf star said ‘I have let you down and let down my fans.” Stating that “My behaviour has been a personal dissappointment.” Talking about his wife Elin, Woods explained that “My real apology will not come through words, but my actions.” The golf star left the assembled room for further treatment for his sex addiction, not before letting the room know that “I brought this shame on myself.” Before he left he hugged his mother and entourage. Wood’s wife Elin, was not present.
