Donald Trump’s insistence that the US has ‘the best poverty’ might not be the winning midterms message he thinks
Donald Trump first entered the celebrity sphere in the 1980s, appearing in films, TV series, adverts, and in Wrestlemania, playing the role of a flamboyant and successful businessman.
After all those years of speaking off the cuff to interviewers or fellow presenters, and – later – making political campaign speeches, Donald Trump should be coming across as a slick communicator, rather than a drunk who’s let an angry ten-year-old choose his words for a dare.
This comment from the weekend is the perfect example of the disconnect between Trump’s brain and his mouth.

He’s obviously trying to boast about low levels of poverty, but the message got a little scrambled on its way out.
