Even if you’ve been a fan of Zack Polanski’s very frank style of politics over the past year, a few stories about him may recently have given you pause.

Much is being made of the Green Party Leader describing himself as a spokesperson for the Red Cross, when he didn’t hold that official position, but was instead a fundraiser who spoke about the charity at events.

He is also under fire for two issues relating to his time as a hypnotherapist. He took part in a Sun newspaper experiment in which he hypnotised a journalist to see if he could increase her breast size (It had to be the Sun, didn’t it!), and he allegedly claimed to be a full member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy when he only held student membership.

The Times has been much quieter on the matter of why they are one of several papers to have featured cartoons of Polanski that would have created an antisemitism scandal if they were of any other Jewish figure.

You don’t have to be a fan of the Greens or of Polanski to question why various media outlets are obsessing over Polanski’s sexed-up CV, while largely ignoring several major concerns about Nigel Farage.
