Tesla issuing a Cybertruck recall because ‘their wheels may fall off’ must be the perfect metaphor for everything right now – 21 bursts of schadenfreude
The Trump-Musk bromance may have ended in tears, but Musk’s involvement in the current US government is still a substantial one.
The South African/American multi-billionaire bankrolled Trump’s campaign, took control of Twitter and turned it into a propaganda machine, and helped himself to vast swathes of US taxpayers’ data under the umbrella of Doge.
He also made Trump look like the VP, as well as Musk’s part-time babysitter.
Obsessed with how weird this video is. Why is Trump baby X’s babysitter? Why is he hand signaling the X symbol? Why is baby X wearing a Ludwig Mozart peacoat? Why is this posted with a The Weeknd remix? pic.twitter.com/wSNhJdOzTW

With the link forever forged, it seemed apt, therefore, that a Tesla vehicle should deliver what must be the perfect metaphor for the Trump administration, Elon Musk’s life, and – well – everything, everywhere, all at once.

The Kelly Blue Book article explained the problem.
“Cracks in the brake rotor stud holes could cause the wheel studs to separate from the hub, making it harder to control the vehicle and potentially causing the wheel to fall off, increasing the likelihood of a crash.”
Never has the phrase ‘No shit, Sherlock!’ been more apt.
To be clear, it’s from a specific range of Cybertrucks – 2024-2026 model year equipped with 18-inch steel wheels. Not all Cybertrucks.
That didn’t stop the wave of schadenfreude washing over Bluesky.
