Alan Shearer took on Gary Lineker at Twitter and ended up leaving on a stretcher
Alan Shearer congratulated Harry Kane after the Tottenham striker scored his 100th top-flight goal in Sunday’s dramatic 2-2 draw with Liverpool.
Congratulations @HKane Welcome to the @premierleague 100 club 🙋🏼♂️#strikersunion #bigballs ⚽️

Except the so-called ‘100 Club’ only includes goals scored after the Premier League began in the 1992-93 season which naturally irks people who played before then. Like Gary Lineker, for example.

To which Shearer responded with the full force of his funny bone.

Except it was Lineker who ended up having the last word.

We wish the former Newcastle United striker a speedy recover.
