In a shocking outbreak of good news we’re finding it hard to get our heads round right now, the leaders of North and South Korea have vowed to “write a new chapter” in the troubled history of their two countries.

Kim Jong-un and his South Korean counterpart, Moon Jae-in, shook hands for more than 20 seconds at the start of a summit that has raised hopes for a resolution over North Korea’s nuclear and ballistic missile programmes.
