Tim Farron’s cropped email heading was definitely not on brand
Tim Farron is well known for his straight-laced conservative – with a small c – Christian approach to life; indeed, his decidedly non-liberal attitude to the LGBT+ community was often the topic of interview questions posed to the former Lib-Dem leader. This all serves to make it even funnier that he ended up sending a seemingly NSFW email to his network. Writer Marie Le Conte shared it on Twitter.
She warned everyone to prepare themselves.
ADVANCE WARNING: I have a screenshot and I do not believe you are ready for it

However, there was no way we were prepared for this.
So, Tim Farron sends an email to other MPs every other week named "A taste of Cumbria". Sadly, that name is too long for the email format some MPs use. As a result, this is what arrives in their inbox: pic.twitter.com/E99CWzLtkW

Doesn’t sound very Tim Farron-like at all.
Good to see Tim taking a more liberal view of sex in his old age https://t.co/yAyG0cyCnd

Yeah, this… is unexpected. https://t.co/EkcrbAW16S

Writer David Whitley was concerned there might be more fuel for the rumour mill.
Fucking hell. I hope there aren't about thirty pictures doing the rounds of him holding up a bottle with white stuff in it.

By strange coincidence …
As a #BlackFriday treat, you can now get 30 pictures of Tim Farron holding milk for the price of one. pic.twitter.com/99mq9JR2cC

Singer Billy Bragg had high hopes for the email’s influence.
I notice #CumbriaDay is trending. I was hoping it might be because of this. https://t.co/1zU8swLBF3

One Twitter user had a different explanation for the heading.
"A Taste of Cum" is of course Tim Farron's re-working of Shelagh Delaney's seminal (if you'll pardon the pun) kitchen sink drama "A Taste Of Honey", set within Manchester's gay village. https://t.co/kEkzZKpyBp
