Netflix To Launch Budget ‘Browse Only’ Service

Tech News: On-demand service Netflix is to introduce a cheaper ‘browse only’ option, which offers “all the fun of browsing, without having to watch the shitty films.”

Netflix have recently redesigned the interface of their service to make browsing titles easier and more time consuming – and it’s hoped the new cheaper subscription option will compliment this.

“For most of our members browsing Netflix is pretty much the whole experience,” said a spokesman for the company. “That and laughing at what Netflix titles are popular on Facebook.”

Subscribers to the browse only service will still be able to waste entire evenings looking into the abyss of bargain-bin content, but for half the price.

“Why pay for a full subscription when you don’t actually watch anything?” said the spokesman. “We hope to gain many more subscribers with the browse only option, as often the process of finding something decent to watch on Netflix takes about the same time as watching a feature length film.”
