A 2-year-old solves a famous ethical dilemma in a hilariously ruthless way
The Trolley Problem is a thought experiment in which a train heads towards five people on a track and can be switched to another track where it will only kill one person. The idea tests whether someone thinks it’s better to actively kill one or to allow five to die. Cheery, right?
Well, E.J. Masicampo, a psychology professor, put the problem to his 2-year-old son using a Thomas the Tank Engine set and little Nicholas solved the dilemma in a unique way.
