Today in ridiculous technology: a wifi enabled ‘smart’ wine bottle

These days it seems like everyone is keen to shove the internet into everything – connected fridges, washing machines, kettles – and now a ‘smart’ wine bottle that has an interactive label.

The Kuvée lets you “learn about what you’re sipping, recommends wines you’ll like, and lets you order more”. It doesn’t even have Netflix. It also lets you do this:

It also raises an excellent question. Who takes a month to drink a bottle of wine?

Still, at least it’s not the Wi-Fi kettle that takes 11 hours to make cup of tea.
