Pun explosion as police save bacon of runaway pig causing motorway chaos
No wonder this pig is looking a bit disgruntled. It’s just been captured by police after caused traffic chaos on the M62 near Leeds on Tuesday evening.
We are pleased to report that the escaped 🐷 on the M62 J29-28 has been safely rounded up. Sorry for any delays. pic.twitter.com/sBcimzbVf3

Cops sent the West Yorkshire Police Dog Support Unit, the Pig Support Unit being otherwise engaged, after it spent an hour trotting on and around the normally busy motorway.
If you think you catch a pig with something as basic as a stick with a hoop on the end, you’d be right.
Alas this picture isn’t the pig being taken home. It’s another pig. But we wish it was.
@WYP_RPU Doesn’t look as happy as this one though pic.twitter.com/O5tpqkkAyX

The pig’s partners in crime have nothing to fear. It didn’t squeal.
The male piglet, 7 weeks old, has been restored to its owner. It escaped a moving vehicle on the motorway 10/4. Poor little critter. pic.twitter.com/x0FlOCwnD0

Turns out it was a busy day for animals causing traffic chaos.
So today there's been a swan on a road in Rotherham, a dozen horses on a dual carriageway and a pig on a motorway bridge? WTH's going on?! https://t.co/GTbQom2GHp
