Piers Morgan had a furious Twitter spat with a spoof account and it will make your day

Even more entertaining than a Piers Morgan Twitter spat is when it turns out he’s been working himself into a furious lather with a spoof account.

The Good Morning Britain man thought he was having a row with footballer Kolo Toure after a Twitter account bearing the same name told him to “shut the fuck up”.

Perhaps the reason Morgan got confused was because it was his third Twitter spat in a row that day. Here goes…

SPAT NUMBER 1 (WITH A REAL PERSON)

It began with Morgan telling Olly Murs to pipe down after he tweeted from the non-terror alert in London on Friday.

SPAT NUMBER 2 (ALSO WITH A REAL PERSON)

Cue James Blunt.

For some reason Real Madrid and German football international Toni Kroos liked Blunt’s tweet.

Which is how this happened …

SPAT NUMBER 3 (NOT WITH A REAL PERSON)

Then this person got involved, an account appearing to be former Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Celtic and Ivory Coast footballer Kolo Toure.

Morgan came out swinging.

Except, it’s not Kolo Toure at all.

By way of mitigation, Morgan offered this.

Not the first time Morgan’s been fooled by a fake account.

Only one question remained.
