Tony Hart drawing requests live on Swap Show is a nostalgic treat and so, so clever
Here’s something you might remember if – like us – you are a person of a certain age who used to enjoy Saturday morning telly on BBC1.
It’s the late, great Tony Hart taking viewer requests and drawing whatever they ask him on live TV. And it’s as brilliant now as it was when we watched it back in 1982.

Love it.
This is still magic after all these years. Tony Hart, what a lovely man. Great TV.

He carefully checks how to spell each child’s name as he knows it’s important to get it right for them. Lovely.

How lovely. Stuart, Tara and Ian, where are you now and do you still have your pictures?!

But some people are hard to please.
It’s good but it’s not Matt Bianco on Saturday Superstore.

Or Five Star. Everyone remembers Elliott.

Ha, yes, we remember those too.
