Joe Lycett’s letter to his MP about people protesting LGBT teaching in schools will have you cheering into next week
Comedian Joe Lycett’s written a letter to his local MP, Roger Godsiff, and it went viral because it’s just so brilliantly done.
Lycett wrote to the Birmingham MP six years ago asking him to reconsider his vote against gay marriage.
Now he writes to ask him about the protests taking place against children being taught about LGBT relationships.
Anyway, over to Joe.

Lovely stuff, and we can’t wait to see the MP’s reply (Godsiff has said he did not feel four or five-year-olds “could comfortably handle” discussions about sexuality).
Joe’s letter went wildly viral on Twitter and here are just a few of the things people had to say about it.
You’re the best person on earth

I think I want @joelycett to be my MP (or at least stand in his own community) so we don’t have a country run by pompous pricks like Roger. https://t.co/NPQ07ygiop

I adore this, as TwoDads ourselves and also from the West Midlands what we are witnessing at the moment is as hideous as Rogers outlook on us fabulous gays. Our children need to know that they too are equal to their classmates and their family is deserving of everyone’s time
