The Google delete process for the family emoji is absolutely brutal
When you delete an emoji, it’s reasonable to expect it to simply disappear in one go, but with one particular emoji, Google has a very different – and callous – approach.
just learned with horror that deleting any of the "family" emojis in google slides does not remove the emoji, but rather kills off each individual family member one by one, starting with the children pic.twitter.com/0v2s8Bx91n

That’s just so harsh. We weren’t the only people who thought so.

Not everyone was simply appalled – there was a dark humour there, too.

The explanation was less about secret techie serial killers and more about the way the emoji is generated.
Family emoji is awesome, you can have whatever pair or single parents, as well as a few children, everyone of them can get a different gender and skin colour.
The people at unicode really went hard on this one. https://t.co/nziivRMwXj— Félix (@rolldodge_) August 30, 2019
