Brewdog introduced a ‘hybrid burger’ that is 50% meat, 50% vegan – 9 appetising takedowns
Today’s unexpected developments include this from Brewdog, a ‘hybrid burger’ that is 50% meat and 50% vegan. Mostly.
And it’s gone down almost as well as their pink beer ‘for girls’. Remember that?
Anyway, before you scoff (something else), here’s what they had to say.
INTRODUCING: THE HYBRID BURGER 🍔
50% plant-based Beyond Meat & 50% beef burger patty.
Melted vegan gouda cheese.
Crispy onion straws.
Potato rosti.
All sandwiched between Matcha Tea buns.50% less meat, 100% delicious.

And here are 9 very appetising responses.
Why are you using vegan cheese on a burger that already HAS meat in it?!

This is how Brewdog explained it.
And the point of this creation is what exactly ? 🤔
— MrPipinfort (@pipinfort) October 3, 2019
We’ve seen a growing demand for alternative proteins, and we already stock vegan friendly options in all of our bars, but we wanted to do something for flexitarians – people looking to cut down but not totally stop eating meat.

This ain’t it bro
— james (@payroll_carti) October 3, 2019
Some people thought it was.
You saw the vegan patty on it too right? It seems like they’re doing a hybrid burger, getting the best of both worlds, like a food bridge between them, that only one side will eat, maybe learning a little more about the other 🤷♂️
— Benjamin TironeNunes (@BenTN) October 3, 2019
Hey Benjamin, you're right! This is an option for people looking to cut down on meat but not cut it out all together.
— BrewDog (@BrewDog) October 3, 2019
Just not most people.
You’re not “cutting down” on your meat consumption by eating a half plant burger, if you want half as much meat you could save your money by literally just eating a smaller burger lmfaoooo you should eat whoever’s idea this was

BrewDog launched a pink ‘beer for girls’ and it’s fair to say it’s not gone down well
