Jeremy Vine sent this cyclist’s video viral and it’s very funny and totally infuriating at the same time
When he was not presenting on Radio 2 or Channel 5, Jeremy Vine likes to share cycling videos which invariably show motorists being a bit (or very) rubbish.
Not everyone always agrees with the presenter’s take on what he’s sharing, and this one went particularly viral for reasons which will become obvious.
Vine shared it on behalf of a cyclist, @MikeyCycling, and it’s quite the watch. It’s only 2 minutes long but for a nightmarish glimpse of how we live (or a lot of us) live now, it’s hard to beat.
Every. Second. Of this.
I have never seen a cyclist-driver confrontation like this before. And towards the end it seems to jump the shark completely.
Thank-you @MikeyCycling for sharing … more details here https://t.co/H2NgqKkYhZ pic.twitter.com/XmDe3dORTx— Jeremy Vine (@theJeremyVine) July 6, 2023
So who’s side are you on? Here’s what these people made of it.

There is a reason the driver gets as angry as he does, even if what he says gets hard to defend.
There is a reason almost everyone hates people who behave like the person making this video behaves. All self-righteousness, no sense and no compassion. https://t.co/L00dY4CtLk

You know I absolutely hate shit like this.
What I hate is the cyclist could politely ask the driver to stop but instead he’s getting an absolute rock on at the thought of reporting it. Then he’s continuing to rile him up after.
What a tool. https://t.co/PNWZADUEll

Just to be clear, I’m 100% behind the car driver. https://t.co/EVGRiah8m4

As a cyclist let me just say that I endorse everything the driver says here https://t.co/yai8nfNSfw

This is surreal. I have a real issue with people using their phone at the wheel. Just to recap on the law, you can't use your phone (if you're the driver) unless your car is parked, engine switched off and the keys are out of the ignition. https://t.co/a0kuJdtwyB

Would it be wheely harsh to suggest they deserved each other?
