Watch a Canadian news anchor laugh uncontrollably as she struggles to report an odd story

As we’ve seen many times, it’s not always easy to keep a straight face during live broadcasts, particularly when the subject matter is out of the ordinary.  So, it’s understandable that Canadian news anchor Maralee Caruso struggled, and failed, to keep a straight face during a report on a man who had received an Ig Nobel Prize for doing something pretty unusual.

Tom Thwaites attempted to live life as a goat in the Alps for several days, eating and socialising with a mountain herd.  Whether it was the sight of him munching on grass, the prosthetic front limbs he had had made specially for the project or the sheer absurdity of the concept, it isn’t possible to tell, but poor Maralee completely lost it.  Watch for yourself.

The Ig Nobel Prizes are awarded for unusual research, which might appear frivolous, but also makes people think.  This certainly fits the bill.
