The Jeremy Kyle Show is axed by ITV – the internet reacts
ITV has confirmed that the Jeremy Kyle Show will never be coming back after the death of a guest who took part in the programme.
The broadcaster had initially suspended filming of the show but said it had now been axed permanently due to the ‘gravity of recent events’.
Here’s how people reacted to the news on Twitter.

Jeremy Kyle is cancelled.

They should have told Jeremy Kyle his show was cancelled in front of a live audience.

Jeremy Kyle spent his career shouting at the vulnerable on national television during the darkest times in their lives. Seems a tad unfair that they cancel now without doing a special episode where he at least gets booed a bit for likely contributing to the death of a guest.

But what will Jeremy Kyle watch during the day now he’s unemployed?

I hope Jeremy Kyle launched himself at the ITV exec who broke the news to him, only to be restrained by an enormous security guard and frogmarched off the premises with a camera crew pursuing him.

I am without remorse in owning up to being a terrible snob and there has always been one and only one show strictly banned from my TV – good riddance to Jeremy Kyle’s freak show of shit flinging and all the morbid gawping at degradation it fostered.
Oh, and Jezza? GET A JOB.

All I ask is that a news presenter interview Jeremy Kyle about the cancelling of his show, using the lines 'what have you got to say for yourself? You're a disgrace aren't you? A disgrace.' etc etc

Now Jeremy Kyle has gone, can we fuck off every other television format designed to exploit troubled people, mock the poor, with no regard for the consequences of exposing the vulnerable to media scrutiny? Contemptible, derogatory, classist, dangerous, divisive, lazy crap.

"Jeremy Kyle axed"
Not talking about the cancellation of his TV show. I'm actually pitching a new programme for him. Just the one episode though.

Can I suggest an alternative to Jeremy Kyle. Instead of an ex public school boy shouting at dysfunctional poor people with addictions and mental health problems. Why dont I do one shouting at dysfunctional rich folk with the same problems starting with Rees Mogg & Boris Johnson

BREAKING: Jeremy Kyle Show is axed – which some argue is more humane than other option, which was to force him to watch it.
