Simpsons guessed the future of movies in 2009

The Simpsons: once one of the best TV shows around and now we’d have to check wikipedia to see if it’s still on (it is).

However, it is still occasionally prophetic:

This still was grabbed from a 2009 era episode called “Homer the Whopper,” written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg – yep the team behind Superbad and other films.

And yes, not just Star Wars: the Force Awakens, they’re right about The Chipmunks too. The new movie is called ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (2015)’.
