“Good evening, Variety Bazaar!” Twitter takes giant dump on new name for Glastonbury
Just when you thought 2017 was shaping up to be marginally better than 2016, Michael Eavis reveals the new name for the Glastonbury festival – the Variety Bazaar.
The internet response was universal. If only the Brexit vote had been so clearcut, eh?

the fact that Glastonbury is being renamed to the 'variety bazaar' rlly isn't giving me faith in 2017

imagine waiting your whole life to headline Glastonbury and then coming out on the Pyramid Stage and having to yell "Hello, Variety Bazaar!"

"Variety Bazaar" sounds like a Wednesday night ATV show from 1968, hosted by Dickie Henderson… https://t.co/jTC975vcfK

It sounds like a festival they'd make up for a Persil ad. https://t.co/XDAT8kJONJ

So apparently #Glastonbury is going to be renamed to 'The Variety Bazaar' when it moves location for a year in 2019. pic.twitter.com/D3qKqpPb2m

Glastonbury to be named "The Variety Bazaar" in 2019 is literally worse than any of the news that happened in 2016
— Kandice (@xRockyRaccoon) January 17, 2017
The new name will coincide with the festival’s move away from its traditional home in Worthy Farm, Somerset, in 2019. In fact, it’s full name is a bit longer than “Variety Bazaar”. And even more irritating.
Glastonbury is getting renamed 'The Glastonbury Festival team presents The Variety Bazaar' in 2019 and I canny deal with that
