Right-wing group freaks out after it mistakes empty bus seats for women in burqas

A bunch of Norwegians opposed to immigration has been given the fear by a picture of a bunch of empty bus seats.

Users on the private Facebook group, Fedrelandet Fiktigst – Fatherland First, if your Norwegian isn’t up to it – mistook it for a group of Muslim women wearing the full veil and said it was ‘frightening’, ‘tragic’ and ‘scary’.

Not that it would be any of those things even if they weren’t mistaken. Anyway, back to Fatherland First.

“It looks really scary, should be banned. You can never know who is under there. Could be terrorists with weapons.”

“Get them out of our country, those who look like collapsed umbrellas. Frightening times we are living in.”

“I thought it would be like this in the year 2050, but it is happening NOW!!!!”

Er, no it’s not.

The image was shared to the group as a practical joke by a chap called Johan Slattavik, and their responses went viral after being posted on Sindre Beyer’s Facebook page.

More than 100 people ended up commenting on it.

And it didn’t stop there.
