The Sun’s ‘Brexit bargains’ is the most satisfying correction you’ll see this week
You might remember how the Sun sought to reassure readers about Brexit by listing things that will be cheaper in our post-EU world.
It was so exciting that Jacob Rees-Mogg retweeted it (with one notable exception).

There was no shortage of people on hand to tell Rees-Mogg and everyone else that it was a load of nonsense. This chap, for instance.
1/ Several people have asked for a non-technical explanation of why this S*n article about EU trade policy that Mogg is promoting is false. Here goes. https://t.co/az5Qx080Q3

And now look what the Sun has had to publish today in the most satisfying correction you’ll see this week. This year, maybe.

So a load of bollocks then.
If only they’d bothered to check with someone who knew the first thing about it (the clues were there because they later deleted it).
13 Overall bottom line: EU tariffs have some impact on consumer prices, but vastly less than the S*n suggests. (They ignore products where the tariff is zero or low).

That’s pretty much everything covered, we reckon. Well, nearly everything.
Jacob Rees-Mogg retweeted the original article. Has he apologised as well? @Jacob_Rees_Mogg

No, and his tweet is still up
