This Ryanair passenger’s name autocorrected to Lukewarm and now he faces a £100 bill
Spare a thought for this chap called Luke who was booking a flight on Ryanair only for his name to autocorrect to Lukewarm.
And it turns out it’ll cost him £100 to put it right because, well, rules are rules.

‘Lukewarm Bradley’
In fact, it turned out it would actually be cheaper for Luke to change his name than Ryanair to change the ticket.
It would actually be cheaper to change his name to Lukewarm then back to Luke and still have money left over compared to the Ryanair price. pic.twitter.com/GPv4tuG8ZD

Love it! Although there’s always one …
<pedant>He'd have to pay for and wait for a new passport in new name to be issued </pedant>

It prompted this person to double check their own ticket although, you know, it probably wasn’t going to happen was it?
I'm flying with Ryanair tomorrow and I'm just checking mine hasn't done the same.

And this person had issues, and not just with Ryanair it would appear.
It's his own fault.
Ryanair.
I'd rather guide my dad into my mum than travel on that airborne cattlecart.

Well that took a highly unexpected turn towards therapy.

Ryanair said there was nothing they could do about it and Luke would have to pay up (although they were disappointingly quiet about it on Twitter).
Bit of a lukewarm response from @Ryanair

Another airline joined in, though.
This will come as no comfort to your pal, but I just got a misspelled name changed on an @easyJet flight no charge, no hassle.

Thank you very much for the lovely feedback Sean! Hanna

Not everyone was buying it.
Sounds like horseshit to me, surely he had to check and submit. It’s not like you type your name and then it goes through like a text, he deserves to charged extra for being a dufus and wasting peoples time…

I’d say you’re great craic at parties.
