Donald Trump said Boris Johnson is what the UK has been looking for -12 sceptical reactions
Donald Trump hates to be out of the spotlight for more than a few hours, and he’s not above inventing talents and achievements, which might be why he told the G7 summit that he’s an expert on the environment. The laughter had barely faded when he tweeted this unsolicited take.
Would be very hard for Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of Britain’s Labour Party, to seek a no-confidence vote against New Prime Minister Boris Johnson, especially in light of the fact that Boris is exactly what the U.K. has been looking for, & will prove to be “a great one!” Love U.K.

Erm …”exactly what the U.K. has been looking for”?
Let’s just say, there was a certain scepticism, so we’ve collected some prime examples.

Oh dear, Donnie's on the throne again tweeting about things he doesn't understand.
He does realise Parliament is still going to sit prior to it being suspended?
Someone should really tell him.
I'm just going to watch though. https://t.co/6CyPMeJOCe

I think what the US president is saying, is that Boris Johnson is exactly what he has been looking for, a compliant Prime Minister who will hand Britain's public services and protections over to US corporations in a free trade deal. https://t.co/kcg2jkYi0o

Stay out of our politics. Stay out of the UK. Britain does not need input from racists whose strategy to stop hurricanes is to use nuclear bombs. https://t.co/2PwRbxnrkO

It’s Johnson & Trump vs the people.
I know which side I’m on.
We won’t let them use anti-democratic manoeuvres to impose economic shock therapy on the backs of the majority to further enrich the elites.
We'll defeat their plans & then build a country for the many not the few. https://t.co/8jcirtRQ0h
