A hilariously pitiful level of distraction is required to separate a panda from its cub

We all know how fiercely protective mothers are of their babies, whether they’re from the wider animal kingdom or humanity – or do we? If this panda is any kind of yardstick, motherly protection is surprisingly easy to buy off.

Journalist Michael Moran‘s tweet of the Tik Tok video by @guanweihai has picked up almost 10,000 retweets – presumably from parents who may or may not consider swapping their kids for an apple.

May we also draw your attention to the magic involved in fitting the panda cub through the bars? That baby’s three-quarters fluff.
