This Brexiter’s defence of the Supreme Court judges went viral because it needed to be said
With lots of people accusing the Supreme Court judges – all 11 of them – of being ardent remainers following their Boris Johnson judgement, this defence by ardent Brexiter Iain Dale went viral because it really did need to be said.
"It wasn't a political decision and you really mustn't talk like this."@IainDale challenges @TheCaroleMalone for saying the judges who ruled against Boris Johnson were politically motivated, telling her such a view puts us "in a very dangerous place indeed".@TheJeremyVine pic.twitter.com/jtbtXtbEnG

And here were just a few of the things people were saying about it.
It terrifies me that Iain deserves applause for this statement of what once was obvious. But he does. And I applaud him. https://t.co/8eITTIArWQ

I very rarely agree with @IainDale but he's 100% correct here. Carole claims the judges are trying to thwart Brexit but Boris's whole argument was that the prorogation wasn't about Brexit. So she agrees with the judges!?

So much credit to @IainDale for this. This stuff has more impact than just the immediate political argument. It shows people can disagree on Brexit without wanting to set fire to how the country operates. https://t.co/opxIDvavLX

I will tell you this right now
Some of those judges yesterday morning will have voted remain
Some of those judges yesterday morning will have voted leave
all 11 of them left their political leanings at the door when they went into the court
Bravo

Well done @IainDale: a devoted Brexiter who defends the judges & insists this was about the law, not Brexit. If we continue down this path of alleging treason & trashing our institutions in the pursuit of all-out culture war, we will destroy ourselves. ~JL pic.twitter.com/cMgv73nkfL
