There are fears that Pizza Express could fold and the entire internet made the same joke

The latest high street name in trouble is Pizza Express which is heading for a debt restructuring, sparking fears that it could follow Jamie’s Italian and disappear completely.

Pizza Express reportedly about to engage in talks with creditors. Last seen, had £1.6m of debt per restaurant. Not sustainable.

And it was a rare occasion, in these troubled times, when it united the nation. Not just in the affection that most people appear to have for the chain, but because the entire internet made the same joke.
