Hugh Grant just owned the haters who have been trolling him on Twitter and it’s perfect
You’ve probably seen that Hugh Grant has been out and about campaigning at the general election doing everything he can to prevent the Conservatives winning a majority to stop Brexit.
Grant has been telling people to vote tactically for the party which has the best chance of defeating the Tory candidate.
Naturally his message hasn’t gone down well with everyone – not just Conservatives – and the trolls have been out in force on Twitter.
So Grant thought he’d do something about it. He did this.
To my dear trolls. Hope this is helpful. Now you have more time to spend with mummy. pic.twitter.com/FbbyC286cZ

And as owning your critics go, that’s up there with the very, very best.

I confess (mea culpa) that the last celebrity I thought would become one of my political heroes is Hugh Grant. Which just goes to show that identifying an actor with the characters he plays is an *epically* stupid mistake to make. The man has been superb. https://t.co/Z3idBNw9yH

And just in case you wanted to double check what Grant thinks of Brexit and Boris Johnson.
You will not fuck with my children’s future. You will not destroy the freedoms my grandfather fought two world wars to defend. Fuck off you over-promoted rubber bath toy. Britain is revolted by you and you little gang of masturbatory prefects. https://t.co/Oc0xwLI6dI
