An anti-vaxxer’s “brilliant” argument was shot down in very public flames
It seems as though more people are joining the anti-vaccination movement, or at the very least are happier to post about their views online.
One very public anti-vaxxer, former adult film actor Jenna Jameson, recently posted a tweet giving what she saw as a reason to mistrust vaccines.
One of the best reasons to question vaccines is because the government is mandating them.

Since the government she was talking about is headed by Donald Trump, we could sort of empathise, but Dr Jen Gunter stepped in with this absolute own.
The government also mandates education. https://t.co/YrRNl8sSVf

This was the only comeback she could manage:
Does education render children incapable? Does it give them seizures? Gillian Barr syndrome? Need I go on? https://t.co/pE0RSM68Cu

It would have carried a little more weight if her extensive research had extended to knowing the name of “Guillain–Barré Syndrome”.
Who the fuck is Gillian Barr? 🤣
This is why you don’t go to celebs for vaccines or medical advice. https://t.co/lYvvQNqXMe

Dr Gunter’s wasn’t the only burn heading in Ms Jameson’s direction.
Let’s bring polio back. Eye roll 🙄 I work in biotech there are people dying of cholera in 3rd world Countries. Someone skipped high school Biology apparently. Unbelievable

Hmmm. So by that rationale, then you must oppose car seats, smoke detectors in houses, catalytic converters, drivers licenses, etc.? 🙄🤦♂️😂 https://t.co/X6RiSvmJiR

Another anti-vaxxer dropped by her mentions with some words of support.
I say this over and over…
Vaccination has become a religion
Doctors have appointed themselves priests of this religion
We keep getting told we must believe what we are told on faith
They issue policy as if it were dogma
Those that challenge dogma are treated like heretics

That was treated with all the contempt it deserved.
I say this over and over…
Anti-vax is a religion
Charlatans, zealots, and science deniers have appointed themselves priests
We keep getting told they know more than the experts
They spread misinformation as if it were truth
Those who debunk the misinfo are called trolls
