This review of The Witcher claimed women can’t fight with swords – 7 brutal takedowns
Daily Wire host Andrew Klavan reviewed the new Netflix series, The Witcher, based on the books which also spawned the video game, and he had a rather odd complaint about some of the fight scenes.

His inaccurate and essentially misogynistic take didn’t go down too well with tweeters, who utterly took him down – without swords.

If you’re watching something that has elves and dragons in it and the bit you find unbelievable is a woman fighting with a sword, you have to ask yourself just how tiny your penis actually is. https://t.co/yL62vRXUMM

I almost want to thank this man for providing a flawless example of how the notion of ‘accuracy’ is used selectively (and insidiously) in fantasy. It's okay for men to do the impossible, but not women.
It's not real, Andrew. I don't know how to explain this to you. https://t.co/9UCEMhAYuM

Counterpoint: Julie d'Aubigny, the bisexuals cross dressing opera star and swordsman who famously attended a ball dressed as a man, kissed a woman, got challenged to duel by three jealous men, beat them all in succession, then went back to the ball. pic.twitter.com/Z30h6NWsZq

so glad this guy is speaking the truth, i.e., that in a sword fight Ben Shapiro would win against Serena Williams, for she is merely a woman with 20+ years of experience in athletic competitions repeatedly swinging an object at full force, whereas he's a manly man with man powers

At a very high level, the entire point of a weapon is to make it easier and safer to kill someone else, even if they’re bigger than you. If a smaller man can defeat a larger man with a sword, there’s no particular reason why a woman couldn’t.

Andrew Klavan tried to explain himself.
🤣To be fair, in context, I was saying women couldn't sword-fight with men trained for battle. My larger point was that by depicting women doing things they wouldn't do in real life, writers kowtow to feminists by turning women into fake men and don't depict women as they are. https://t.co/p2HbsY9T2u

We heard you the first time, mate. It’s still bullshit.
