It began when a chap called Aidan Moher asked people to share amazing stories about themselves that sound like a lie but are entirely true.

I was riding bikes with my daughter on Fri The 13th, & a black cat scurried across the bike path in front of us. My daughter said something about bad luck, and I began to tell her that it was only superstition when a bee flew into my mouth and stung me on the back of my throat.

I saw my neighbor lady who had recently been hospitalized walking in her backyard and told her I was glad she was home and feeling better. She smiled at me. When I went inside and told my mom that the lady was home, Mom told me that she’d died at the hospital that morning.

I wrote a report about aardvarks in 2nd grade and got so into them that I wrote a letter to a stuffed-animal co. suggesting they add one to their lineup. About 6mos later, I got a big box w/ a stuffed aardvark and a letter saying “We took your suggestion, and we named it Clark.”

I got hit by a cop on Friday the 13th when I was in the 7th grade. Broke my arm. Worked out well – same cop pulled me over a couple times in high school. He’d see me and say “oh, it’s you,” then let me go.

My girlfriend years ago wrote a quick thank you in a $10 bill for tip and months later that same bill ended up in my hands as change. I still have that bill because of the coincidence.

When I moved to LA I was a waitress. A customer walked out on his check. I chased & tackled him. We crashed through the restaurant glass doors. An off duty cop at the bar arrested him. The guy was a wanted bank robber & child molester. My boss fired me for having a bad attitude.
