Tory leadership contender Suella Braverman has been setting out her stall why she should be the country’s next PM by by claiming that the UK spends ‘too much on welfare’.
Specifically, she took aim at people who she said preferred to be on benefits than go to work. Here’s what the attorney general told ITV News.
‘There are too many people in this country who are of working age, who are of good health, and who are choosing to rely on benefits’
