This note left on a lamppost about an abandoned printer is making everyone’s day better

Here’s a rather fabulous tale in two parts which is making everyone’s day better.

It’s a note left on a lamppost by someone who found an abandoned printer in the street and, well, to say anymore would risk getting ahead of ourselves.

It went viral on Reddit after it was shared by standardkillchain who said: ‘A working printer certainly seems far-fetched.’

Aww! If only life always worked out like this.

And it prompted no end of funny comments, not all of them at the expense of HP. Just most of them …

‘A working HP printer? This is staged.’
gratusin

‘It was placed by HP themselves, so the sucker has to buy a new ink every week to print a page or two before running out of Mayonnaise ink which will scream for refill before allowing for a print.

‘Of course ink costs 70% of a new printer.’
PureHostility

‘Give it a day or two… That HP will either miraculously run out of ink costing the person $300 or the software will take a shit and the printer will end up back on the sidewalk.’
sysadminbj

‘It’ll probably print a page that is completely black except for some white text in the middle: “replace black ink”.’
Reverse_Psycho_1509

‘This’ll be the future with everything needing a network connection. “Hey dude, we just rented your house and signed the lease but we can’t open the door until you add our accounts to your subscriptions k thx.”
