‘I used to volunteer at a cat shelter. After I fed them and changed their boxes, I could bring any cat(s) into one of the social rooms and just spend time with them. We also had a ‘Friendly Cat Room’ where we had 15-20 cats that roamed the room freely. I would get a book and one of the beanbags in there and just cover myself in friendly kitties while reading true crime. Healed a little bit of me each time.
