People are loving precisely how much time Pope Leo gave JD Vance – 13 of the funniest and totally on-point responses
Given what happened soon after JD Vance met with the late Pope Francis, you could entirely forgive his successor Pope Leo for not being over enthusiastic about meeting the American vice president.
Well, that and the fact it’s JD Vance, about whom Pope Leo has previously been less than complementary.

And it prompted no end of comment, these people surely saying it best.

The way Pope Leo XIV just shooed JD Vance and his wife away with a single hand gesture telling them to move along is hilarious.

Did the Pope shudder after Vance left? That casual grabbing of the Pope’s arm like they’re bros was cringey. Show some respect.

The little readjustment after they turned to walk away was like the Pope was shaking off the evil he had just touched.
