Nigel Farage was asked why he was in the US and not at PMQs and his furious response tells you all you need to know about the man
As no-one anywhere needs reminding, Nigel Farage didn’t find time to attend PMQs when Parliament returned after its summer break this week, instead choosing to visit the US – again – to meet Donald Trump and be totally owned by one particular member of Congress.
It’s not the first time Farage has been accused of a dereliction of duty, obviously – so much so that you can earn 10 points in your I-Spy book should you ever spot him in Clacton (one for younger readers there).
So it was only natural that GB News – even GB News! – should want to ask him, well, shouldn’t the Reform Party UK leader really have been back home instead?
And his furious response surely tells you all you need to know about the man.
I bet Farage wishes he’d gone to Parliament instead of Congress
In Westminster he gets softballs.
In Washington he got grilled on Epstein, Putin & Trump and left humiliated. pic.twitter.com/YoqHuxADTV

And here are just a few of the responses it prompted.
.@Nigel_Farage is asked why he is not in parliament+not at PMQs & he answers “so what”.I’ll tell you what Nigel,it’s part of your job. It’s how our parliament is run.If you can’t handle being an MP I suggest you stand down & let someone who will represent the people of Clacton. https://t.co/juKxwEweeI

Farage is like a petulant toddler when he doesn’t get his own way.
This is his reaction to him not doing the job he’s paid for. #AnywhereButClacton #FarageDestroyed pic.twitter.com/o8CSnBxbyZ

Farage seems to have forgotten why the people of Clacton put him into the House of Commons. #Clacton #FarageDestroyed
Interviewer: “You’re not in parliament, it’s PMQs today, you’re Reform’s leader.”
Farage: “So what? What am I going to do there?” pic.twitter.com/KcwuE2Mzpj

Farage is just an arsehole… the pub bore who everyone dreads getting stuck with.
American congress did us all a huge favour in exposing this cretin.— Mark Horton (@MarkHor79479607) September 4, 2025
He could do the job he is paid for. Most people get sacked for going absent from their day job without good reason. This type of absence should not be allowed.

So he tried time and time again to get into parliament and when he did doesn't bother going?
Contrary. Doesn't want to be in the club that will have him.
