The Parliamentary Standards Committee announced an investigation into Farage’s mystery millions, and the internet grabbed the popcorn – 18 stinging reactions
Recently, the Guardian revealed that Nigel Farage was given £5 million by a crypto billionaire named Christopher Harborne (or Chakrit Sakunkrit) just weeks after announcing he wouldn’t stand in the 2024 general election, and – more importantly – just before he announced he’d changed his mind.

It’s not the first time the committee has had to investigate Farage, having previously found him in breach of the MPs’ code of conduct for 17 violations of the rule requiring members to declare their income – to the tune of in excess of £380,000. They told him not to do it again.
Since the revelation of the £5 million windfall, Farage has reacted angrily to any mention of it.

As a newly elected member of Parliament in 2024, he should have declared any money or donations in kind given to him within the previous 12 months – which he did not do.
The chinny reckon – and schadenfreude – were almost palpable.

Well now Nigel Farage is being investigated for his 5m undeclared bribe, it could get really serious.
The BBC might even mention it in the form of a joke on Radio 4 Extra

Essentially he has won – this is now an argument about whether this should have been declared. It should be about whether it represents corruption in our politics. He should be facing trial for accepting bribes.
