The paper’s response to this 11-year-old girl will make your day better
A story in 4 parts to make your day better.
1.
It began when this chap tweeted how his cousin’s 11-year-old daughter had secretly been reading the Washington Post.
2.
How big a fan was she? This big.
3.
And then guess who got in touch?
4.
Yeah, but did they really end up doing anything about it?
Bravo!

This pleases me. When I joined @SunderlandEcho I went back to my primary school and my former teacher asked what I was doing. When I told her, she said "You did it, then. When you were eight, you told me you'd be a reporter for the Echo." I had NO recollection of the conversation

Can we acknowledge how Washington Post said “can’t wait to work for her”?! They could have used ‘with’ but chose a more personal toned word and that’s amazing.
