A couple were doing up their bathroom and they found this left by the previous owners
Alex and Jess Monney were doing up their bathroom when they found this.
They shared it on Twitter where it went viral. This is what the message said.
“Hi! We’re the Shinsekis! We remodelled this bathroom Summer 1995.
“If you are reading this, that means you’re remodelling the bathroom again. What’s wrong with the way we did it?!?!?”
Because it was shit. No, we don’t know why they did it, we’re sure it was very nice.
There was also a message from their rabbit.
“Hi! I’m Cassie the Bunny Rabbit! I lived here too! I’m potty trained!”
As Alex’s wife Jess pointed out …
23 years was a good run though!

In case you’re interested – don’t try to pretend otherwise – this is what it looked like before.

And it prompted people to share stuff they had found when they were doing up their house.
My parents had their house custom built in the late 1970s. Dad routinely stopped by and gave the builders a six pack of beer at the end of the day on Fridays. He found this in the wall when renovating the master bathroom shower in 2013: pic.twitter.com/492jjZHxi5

Could have been worse though.
Could be worse. Employee of a friend was remodeling the basement of a house they bought and found a gravestone in the walls. pic.twitter.com/T9IxIGG9z6

Now everyone’s doing it.
Phenomenal. I love that.
When I remodeled a room on a house years ago, I left a 6 pack of Guinness and a note in the wall. No idea if anybody has found it yet.
