The way this BBC News guy deals with a heckler is just next level stuff
The BBC’s Stephen McDonell was reporting on the escalating violence in Hong Kong when a protestor kept on interrupting to suggest it was ‘fake news’.
And we’re not unhappy that they did because the way he dealt with it was just awesome.

Brilliant good for him. Expertly handled.

And here is what McDonell himself had to say about the incident. Gets more chilling the further down you go.

Seems to be confusion amongst some as to why pro-Beijing nationalists would crash our live cross after I mentioned amongst other things the arrest of a pro-independence activist with alleged connection to explosives. This is why… [cont]

Because they were not actually listening to what I was saying. They couldn’t care less what the content of the cross was. A group of nationalist zealots just arrived minds made up and started abusing us. We’re foreign media so must be anti-#China If you don’t like it it’s “fake”.

Oh and BTW when I said violence was escalating in #HongKong in connection with this crisis, gee what was I thinking? It’s been so peaceful here over the past 24 hours. Those white shirt thugs sent in to bash pro-democracy demonstrators they’re just misunderstood. https://t.co/oAWSKqwkWZ
