There’s now a Kickstater for making beanie tin-foil hats for hipsters
Introducing “Shield: The World`s First Signal Proof Headwear” – yes you heard that right, someone reckons there’s a marketing in selling fancy tin-foil hats and they might be right.

We came up with an idea on how to reflect something that can harm us. We are introducing a hat that reflects harmful signals from telephones and electrical appliances because the electromagnetic smog is truly everywhere

Somebody might say that it`s a specially designed hat for bouncing electromagnetic waves and radiation. But is it really so? Yes, it reliably reflects signals from cell phones, wi-fi routers, microwaves and it generally blocks all waves transmitted from electric devices. Moreover, it looks really cool! It is the most comfortable and functional headwear you have ever worn.

The reviews range from the probably joking:
“More stylish than my tin foil hat, but nowhere near as visible. Can you do some testing to show the improvements over a tin foil hat and a signalproof one?”
To the possibly serious:
“It’s great I can protect my head, but I’m sad because those dirty signals can go through the rest of my body. You guys should come out with an entire line of shielded clothing. That way I can block all those death rays from head to foot!!!”
So is this a joke or a serious product? Our bet is that it’s a cynical product idea, made to take advantage of both news services like us who’ll print things because they are ridiculous and sad paranoid consumers who believe they need a tin foil hat.
