Twitter responds to Trump controversy with its own “alternative facts”

Twitter has been getting to grips with the concept of “alternative facts” after the phrase was used by a top Donald Trump aide about the president’s inauguration.

Kellyanne Conway said Trump’s press secretary Sean Spicer had been offering “alternative facts” when he suggested the inauguration crowds were the biggest ever, when all evidence suggested quite the opposite.

Not wrong then, just “alternative”, prompting much hilarity on the internet.
