Peppa Pig ‘spiders can’t hurt you’ episode re-edited for Australian audiences

An episode of Peppa Pig was pulled in Australia because its message of ‘spiders can’t hurt you’ was deemed inappropriate in the home of the huntsman spider. Have you seen the size of those things?

The offending instalment featured Daddy Pig telling a frightened Peppa that spiders are “very very small” and “can’t hurt you”, and ends with Peppa and her brother George picking the spider up, tucking it into bed and offering it some tea.

Not any more, it doesn’t.
