Gary Lineker has promised to strip down further than his underpants if Man City don’t win the league

You’ll remember when Gary Lineker promised to present Match of the Day in his underpants if his beloved Leicester City won the league.

And when Leicester City did indeed win the title, he did just that.

Now the Match of the Day man has promised – or perhaps that should be threatened – to go won further if runaway leaders Manchester City fail to win this year’s title, after their 3-2 defeat by Manchester United on Saturday.

If City don’t win the Premier League this season it would be quite a collapse. In fact, if they don’t I’ll do the first MOTD of next season in just a thong.

So people who complained that his ‘underpants’ were actually a big pair of football shorts will presumably have no complaints this time round.

Or maybe they’ll just have a different reason to complain, if the response on social media was anything to go by today.
