Donald Trump on the Khashoggi murder sounds like he’s still on the Apprentice

Here’s Donald Trump on the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was murdered in a rogue operation after visiting the Saudi Arabian consulate in Turkey.

Trump called the Saudi Arabians’ response to the murder, which has outraged the world, the ‘worst cover-up ever’. But there’s something about the way he talks about it that makes it sound like he’s slagging off a rubbish team on the Apprentice.

Seriously. If you hadn’t heard the question, what would you think he was talking about?

Look, he’s even got the White House’s answer to Karren and Claude standing behind him.

‘They had a very bad original concept.

‘It was carried out poorly and the cover up was one of the worst in the history of cover ups. Very simple.

Bad deal, it should have never have been thought of. Someone really missed up and they had the worst cover up ever.

And where it should have stopped is at the deal standpoint when they thought about it. Coz whoever thought a bad idea I think is in big trouble and they should be in big trouble. Okay?’

And here’s what people made of it.

Not everyone thought it sounded like the Apprentice. They had a different analogy in mind.

You’re fired!
