Donald Trump on the Khashoggi murder sounds like he’s still on the Apprentice
Here’s Donald Trump on the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was murdered in a rogue operation after visiting the Saudi Arabian consulate in Turkey.
Trump called the Saudi Arabians’ response to the murder, which has outraged the world, the ‘worst cover-up ever’. But there’s something about the way he talks about it that makes it sound like he’s slagging off a rubbish team on the Apprentice.
Seriously. If you hadn’t heard the question, what would you think he was talking about?
Trump on Khashoggi's killing: "They had a very bad original concept. It was carried out poorly and the cover-up was one of the worst cover-ups in the history of cover-ups. It's very simple. Bad deal. Should have never been thought of. Somebody really messed up." (via ABC) pic.twitter.com/w9L4yDwsHe

Look, he’s even got the White House’s answer to Karren and Claude standing behind him.
‘They had a very bad original concept.
‘It was carried out poorly and the cover up was one of the worst in the history of cover ups. Very simple.
Bad deal, it should have never have been thought of. Someone really missed up and they had the worst cover up ever.
And where it should have stopped is at the deal standpoint when they thought about it. Coz whoever thought a bad idea I think is in big trouble and they should be in big trouble. Okay?’
And here’s what people made of it.

He's barely human. Look at the body language. And the words: A bad original concept? Carried out poorly? The Saudis butchered a resident of the US, employed by an American company w/ American children–& this sociopath can't bring himself to condemn them for their horrific crime. https://t.co/pS1r7Kp34d

I'm sorry – but this arsehole President still thinks he's on the Apprentice.
PS – I'm not sorry. https://t.co/6Jb1NNFHAx

Sounds like his only real beef is that they got caught https://t.co/mGQo7wtjf6

this is how i talk about tv shows, but instead of a tv show, it is a bunch of professional assassins killing and dismembering a journalist on foreign territory https://t.co/GKskd8OFKu

The good cover-ups do not appear in the history of cover-ups. https://t.co/oVUs8y0p2S

The narcissistic psychopath is an expert on how to carry out murder but talks about it like an Apprentice challenge.
There is no human operating system present in Donald Trump. https://t.co/HGeavt3FRx

Watching this clip again and struck even more by the lack of humanity in Trump. He has no statement on the moral wrongness of the act, only on the quality of its execution. https://t.co/tmuwtIb2pr

He's reviewing the Khashoggi murder like it was a TV show. https://t.co/20QlfV004O

Not everyone thought it sounded like the Apprentice. They had a different analogy in mind.
