Terrible Brexit fan art is a thing and this might be the most terrible of all – 9 funny reactions
Charity shops are a fantastic institution – they give perfectly useful things a second lease of life after their first owner grows tired of them, they provide clothes and goods to people who can’t afford to splash the cash, and – most importantly – they are a source of income for good causes. However, they can also be a dumping ground for tat, such as amateur Brexit fan art – yes, that’s a thing. One such item has turned up on Twitter.

This stunning image of Theresa May, riding a lion sidesaddle as it leaps free of the EU whilst holding a British flag in its jaws, was shared by the legend that is the Reverend Richard Coles, formerly of iconic duo The Communards and more recently broadcaster, journalist, parish priest and Twitter essential. This is what he had to say about the extraordinary painting.
This, spotted by someone in a charity shop in Poole apparently, must surely be saved for the nation. pic.twitter.com/VZK6nVKOkg

He has a point. If nothing else, it might serve as a reminder that not all ideas deserve to be acted upon.
Of course, people had some pretty strong reactions to the cursed image, including these nine.

There was also this evaluation.
Hmmm. Theresa May overestimating the power of the beast that she's using to make a blind leap of unknown distance, heading in the wrong direction, concentrating only on her nails having turned her back on the UK, that's now cut off & adrift in the middle of nowhere. Accurate.

They didn’t write that on the side of the bus.
