A former BuzzFeed writer made a quiz about the layoffs and you won’t believe question 3
Buzzfeed, once the runaway success story of the clickbait community, is laying off 15 per cent of its workforce in a sweeping reorganisation, leaving management open to revenge posts by its accomplished former staff. One former writer, Jason Sweeten, did what any self-respecting Buzzfeed member would do – he wrote a quiz. With the title “Do You Still Have A Job At BuzzFeed?“, the quiz takes the usual format but with some eye-opening options that pull no punches.
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
He wrote on Twitter:
Writing something I loved and having my insanely coworkers (and the internet) respond is what made early BuzzFeed so special. Today made me miss that place more than ever.

Unfortunately, all the people who moderate community have been laid off, so this can't be removed https://t.co/XjMy6jb7i6

I want to share this but I also don’t want to give them incremental ad revenue.

Since Jason’s quiz went viral, Buzzfeed bosses have reversed their decision not to pay laid-off staff for holidays owed, and while we’re not saying his caustic burns were responsible, they can’t have made things any worse.
