David Lammy’s slap down of this Twitter troll is a classic of its type
There are lots of reasons to like Labour MP David Lammy, such as his eminently sensible take on issues such as Brexit, for example.
Plus, there was this time he took down Toby Young to devastating effect.
Toby tell us again about that time you got into Oxford because your Dad (a Baron) rang up the College to ask them to let you in because you didn't get the grades? And then come back to talk to me about institutional bias and why white students twice as likely to get in as black. https://t.co/1iVhwjBad3

And Nigel Farage …
I hear Moscow is nice at that time of year. https://t.co/JtN3q3ZKZ4

Anyway, today there’s another one, after a chap called Nick Malyon – or ‘Wake UK’ if you prefer – said this about him on Twitter.
David Lammy really demonstrates what a low level of intelligence, of knowledge, of integrity and of being British our politicians can attain and still be in a powerful position!
His response would be, as always, 'wacist'! https://t.co/avqF8WS9Uj

It’s the ‘wacist’ bit at the end which makes Lammy’s response even more satisfying.
Got me! I pretended to be bright to pass my Bar exams and get into Harvard. https://t.co/XNO1VLQQno

10/10.
I think its sweet that you take the time out of your day to talk to nutters…

@DavidLammy is without doubt one of the shining examples of a sitting MP. On a wider note. MP's are not necessarily elected on merit. Some people would vote for a dead parrot if it was wearing a blue rosette.
