Jameela Jamil called out the people who airbrushed her and it’s funny and fascinating
Here’s the great Jameela Jamil, who often uses Twitter to criticise celebrity culture and the way women are treated in the media.
Now she’s done this after noticing how much editing someone had done to one of her pictures. So she called a halt to what she was going to do with it, and decided to annotate it instead, illustrating just how it had been altered and airbrushed.
I was just doing a new spoof motivation sultry pic and was struck by how heavily edit this picture of me is. How dare they? It made me so mentally unwell trying to live up to this image in person. Airbrushing is the damn DEVIL. 💔 pic.twitter.com/LjcFh2D69l

And just in case that’s tricky to read …
‘I don’t look like this, they airbrushed me to death.
Where are my titty stretch marks?
My arm wasn’t this thin
I am darker skinned than this
This airbrushing is why women hate their normal knees
My real knees look like a vagina and that’s fine!
They even airbrushed my ankles! Imagine thinking something is wrong with ankles’
The ‘never trust a fart’ had us confused for a bit until we realised that was the spoof motivational post she was originally working on (bit slow, probably).
Anyway, here are just some of the things people were saying about it.
